Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Edo and Ondo governorship elections for September 10 and November 26, 2016, respectively.

Nick Dazang, INEC deputy director of publicity and voter education, made the disclosure in a chat with newsmen in Abuja, yesterday, saying the timetable for the elections would soon be made public.

His words: “When the timetable for the elections is out, we will commence the processes for budgeting and implementation for the elections.”

Both governors, Adams Oshiomhole and Olusegun Mimiko are serving out their second terms, just as Edo and Ondo states are controlled by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), respectively.
