Lovers of romance and comedy movies are in for an exciting time this season as, the Audrey Silva Company (TASC), co-owned by Mildred Okwo and Rita Dominic, has released its highly anticipated movie ‘Surulere’ (Patience Pays)”.

Surulere is coming after the success of the company’s first and multiple award winning film titled, “The Meeting.”

The movie, Surulere, which tells the story of patience and resilience, follows the life of a young, timid graduate, Arinze (played by Seun Ajayi) desperate to beat his financial burdens.

In his journey, he meets a charming go-getter, Omosigho (played by Beverly Naya). Their meeting shoots off a series of events that pressure Arinze into a get-rich-quick scheme.

The movie features stars award winning actors such as Kemi Lala Akindoju, Enyimma Nwigwe, Linda Ejiofor and Tope Tedela.

Surulere also features a handful of young actors, as well as known faces such as Seun Ajayi, Beverly Naya, Gregory Ojefua and Lala Akindoju.

Rita Dominic makes a cameo appearance in the movie, as well as Linda Ejiofor, Bikiya Graham and Kenneth Okoli.

The story is filled with laughter, romance and a lot of common sense about living in Nigeria.

In an interview with Mildred Okwo, she said she noticed that there is so much suffering in Nigeria and she could not make the suffering worse by even feeding viewers with some intense movie, so she tried to lighten it up. This she did by putting it out in funny bits so that people can assimilate it however they want to.

According to Okwo, “What informed the name ‘Surulere’ is about having patient. The lead character decided to do something he ordinarily will not have done after he had gone through difficult times. However, the movie is some sort of romantic comedy.

“We shoot the movie in ten days because we did not have enough funds but I discovered that we have lots and lots of talents Nigeria and Nollywood is yet to discover.”
