Crunchies Fried Chicken constructs water treatment plant in Enugu

Crunchies Fried Chicken (CFC) Limited, the foremost fast food chain in the South-East/South-South regions of Nigeria, has constructed a water treatment plant in Enugu, to recycle waste water from its facility in the capital city.

The greenhouse water treatment plant, which is already in operation, is the firm’s contribution towards providing a safer and healthier environment for the citizens.

Jude Nwosu, managing director, CFC in an exclusive interview with BusinessDay in Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State, explained that the project, which cost the firm a huge sum, was part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity, aimed at supporting the Enugu State Government to improve infrastructure in the State capital, which also doubles as the capital of the South-East region.

“What we do is to sow back part of our profit into the society. It is not all about business all the time and money we make from them, it is all about a relationship between us and our customers”.

He also stated that the company would remain innovative to ensure that it provides quality service to its customers all year long.

According to Nwosu, “Our Idea about fast food business is to ensure that our customers on a daily basis feel the same thing they feel every time they walk into the place, which is feeling of goodness, a convivial place where they can always be assured of healthy meal, in a good environment.

“If our customers are happy, we are also happy. So, that is why in every two years, there is always something new in Crunchies.

He continued, “We are getting innovative about the type of product we introduce into the place, we are getting innovative about the type of environment we create for the customers, and we are also getting innovative about the type of facilities we provide.

Crunchies Fried Chicken Limited, established in 2002 in Aba, currently has 14 outlets in the South-South and South-East regions of the country, with Asaba, Calabar and Uyo, topping with two outlets each.

As a fast food chain of great repute, Nwosu explained that Crunchies will continue to provide excellent service and better quality range of products to their numerous customers.
