Presently, technology is changing the way people do things, including how business is conducted and how services are delivered across sectors of the economy.
The global health sector is not left out in this shift, as technologies such as MyLifeline.ng support faster, safer, and more reliable access to contact information to ensure that critical medical care is given to victims in emergencies to save lives.
Developed by Azino Oreva, a software engineer and entrepreneur with over five years of experience in building software solutions across web, mobile, and desktop platforms, MyLifeline.ng ensures that no individual in an emergency condition is left unidentified or without support.
In many emergencies, victims cannot communicate their identity, medical history, or family contacts. Mobile phones, which often store this information, may be lost, damaged, or stolen during accidents.
With experience covering building reliable applications, leading product development, and turning ideas into complete technology solutions, Oreva have designed, developed, and launched software products used by thousands of people.

Oreva believes that technology should be simple, useful, and accessible to create meaningful impact and improve everyday lives.
Throughout his career, Oreva has proven his passion for using technology to address challenges across Africa, including improving access to education, healthcare, and digital services in communities with limited connectivity.
Speaking on the importance of the app in saving lives and uplifting Nigeria’s healthcare system, Azino Oreva told a story of how a neighbour’s daughter went missing and the family searched for her everywhere, including different morgues, but they ended up going to the police.
According to him, the police started searching for her in different morgues in the city, but the story came up that she was hit by a hit-and-run vehicle. He said no one was able to contact her family members because her phone was stolen immediately after the accident.
“What if someone could identify her, know who she was, know her emergency contact information, call her family immediately, or her HMO? Things would have been different. They would have gotten her to the Emergency Room on time, and maybe this story wouldn’t have been told.
“That’s why MyLifeline.ng exists. It’s meant to speak for you when you cannot. You can securely store up to five emergency contacts, your HMO details, preferred hospitals, and other critical information. They’re linked to a simple accessory like a key holder or a piece of jewellery,” he explained.
He said the accessory is preferably something valuable enough to keep, but not valuable enough to steal, such that a good Samaritan, first responder, or authorised hospital staff can quickly access the information needed to help the victim and notify people because in an emergency, every minute counts.
“MyLifeline.ng was created to address this challenge by providing a system that allows responders and bystanders to access critical information needed to assist a victim quickly and responsibly,” he explained.
