The delivery of HFP Eastline Shopping Complex which consists of 3,098 lock up shops measuring 24 square meters each on 18 hectares of land is set to create an environment that serves as a hub for economic activities along the Lekki-Epe axis in Lagos.
A joint venture project by HFP Engineering Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading building construction and civil engineering companies, and Eastline Investment Limited, the shopping complex which is located opposite Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate, along Lekki –Epe Expressway, will be commissioned on Saturday this week.
Also known as ‘Ikota Phase 2’, the complex is designed as a one-stop shopping venue with a traditional African ambience that enhances customer’s shopping experience.
It is coming on the heels of the hugely successful Ikota International Shopping Complex which is located next door to Victoria Garden City (VGC) and parades conveniences that are standard features of international shopping complexes.
Osas Ogbeide, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at HFP, says the new complex has facilities such as a car park that can accommodate up to 2,000 cars simultaneously, standby generators, electricity sub-station, water and sewage treatment plants, street lights, covered concrete drainages, a network of alleys and walkways made of interlocking paving stones and green areas.
According to Ogbeide, “as the pioneer estate development in Nigeria HFP has over the past three decades, consistently set new standards in premium quality construction in Nigeria. Its track record as a leading real estate and infrastructure development company is evidenced in several high profile projects it has undertaken”.
He listed such projects as Victoria Garden City (VGC); Mayfair Gardens, Awoyaya, Lekki; Dany Estate, Yaba; Fountain Springville Estate, Sangotedo; Lagoon Hospital, Apapa; 300 flats in Navy Town, Ojo; 646 4-bedroom duplexes in Dolphin Estate Phase 1; 2,36 4-bedroom duplexes, 440 3-bedroom flats, 1,36 2-bedroom flats and 20 fully detached houses, all in Dolphin Estate Phase 2; Dolphin Shopping Plaza, Sura Market; and Victoria Court Cemetery, Lagos.
In recent times, HFP’s business focus has shifted from predominantly developing residential and mixed estates and markets, to servicing the public sector through the execution of infrastructure development and renewal projects.
The company has been engaged in projects such as the construction of Meiran Mini Water Works; reconstruction and dualisation of Adeniran Ogunsanya / Akerele Streets in Surulere, the New Aswani Market (2,000 lockup shops); construction of 15 blocks of 2&3-bedroom flats at Igando for Lagos Homs;
Others are Ruxton Terrace Apartments; 12 units of 4-bedroom luxury apartments in Ikoyi; Iru terraces (10 units of 4-bedroom apartments); Oakwood Place (7 flats of 3-bedroom luxury apartments). It has also undertaken road construction projects in Pan African University, Kodesoh Road in Ikeja Local Government and several roads within Somolu Local Government.
HFP’s pedigree as an innovative player in Nigeria’s construction industry has seen it pioneer the usage of the extremely fast, efficient and cost effective semi pre-cast element method of construction, and also the use of interlocking paving stones method as a low cost maintenance and suitable road construction technique in areas with high water table in Nigeria.
