Inspired2Lead has concluded a five-day capacity-building programme for staff of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), aimed at strengthening regulatory expertise in Nigeria’s evolving gas and energy sector.
The training, themed “Gas, LNG, and the Future of Energy: The Role of the Midstream and Downstream Regulator,” was held in Lagos, and brought together participants from across the country.
Speaking at the opening of the programme, Odeyemi Olayiwole, the chief executive ifficer of Inspired2Lead, urged participants to take advantage of the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and engage actively throughout the sessions.
“As regulators, your role in shaping the future of Nigeria’s energy industry cannot be overstated. The changing energy landscape demands continuous learning, adaptability, and a commitment to driving efficiency and excellence in service delivery,” he said.
The programme featured sessions facilitated by industry experts, including Mer Best and Abiola Soremekun, who shared insights on developments in the gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry, regulatory practices and the future of energy.
Participants also took part in interactive group presentations and discussions designed to encourage peer learning and the practical application of concepts covered during the training.
At the close of the programme, participants said the training had broadened their understanding of the industry and equipped them with knowledge to improve their effectiveness in carrying out their regulatory responsibilities.
They also commended the initiative for creating an opportunity to interact and build professional relationships with colleagues from different stations of the Authority whom they had not previously met.
According to one of the facilitators, Shina Salako, the successful completion of the programme reflects Inspired2Lead’s commitment to developing human capital and strengthening institutional capacity across the public and private sectors.
He said the firm would continue to support organisations through leadership development, management consulting and capacity-building initiatives aimed at improving performance and driving sustainable growth.
Inspired2Lead said it remains focused on equipping organisations and leaders with the skills needed to support national development as Nigeria seeks to expand its economy.
