A delegation of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has expressed confidence on the capacity of Port Harcourt to grow into an industrial city.

They saw growth and hope at the Bonjour Bakery which they said convinced the delegation that industrial growth has come to the Garden City.

The facility visit was part of activities marking the 66th Annual General Meeting and Conference (AGM/C) of NACCIMA in Port Harcourt. It was led by Jani Ibrahim, the Association’s National President on the industrial tour of Bonjour Bakery, a flagship enterprise of Bonjour Meals Limited.

The visit, facilitated by Chinyere Nwoga, the President of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA), is said to have underscored Rivers State’s growing reputation as a destination for industrial investment, manufacturing excellence and enterprise development.

The delegation was taken through the bakery’s modern production facilities where they witnessed its commitment to quality assurance, food safety and internationally accepted manufacturing standards.

The facility operates with National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC)-approved processes, reflecting its dedication to producing safe and high-quality bakery products for consumers across the Niger Delta and beyond.

Speaking during the tour, members of the NACCIMA delegation commended Bonjour Bakery for its impressive operational standards, innovation and contribution to local manufacturing, describing the company as a shining example of the industrial potential that exists in Rivers State.

Established in 2016, by Utoro O. Morrison, (Founder and GMD/CEO) and his wife, Glory Utoro (MD of Bonjour Fast Food Ltd), Bonjour Bakery is reputed to have built a strong reputation for producing premium, chemical-free baked products, steadily expanding its market presence while creating jobs and contributing significantly to the region’s food value chain.

Speaking to newsmen, the MD/CEO of Bonjour Meals Limited? said the company has strived to earn its leadership position due to its uncompromising food-safety standards, modernized production systems, fair labour practices, transparent ingredient use and a wide distribution chain covering urban and rural markets with strong customer loyalty built on trust and consistent taste.

He said beyond commerce, Bonjour contributes significantly to youth employment; food security, local supply-chain development and economic growth in the Niger Delta.

The visit is said to have further reinforced the conference’s objective of showcasing Rivers State’s industrial capacity and investment opportunities, while highlighting the critical role of indigenous businesses in driving Nigeria’s economic diversification and sustainable growth.
