The Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is set to continue the promotion of professional development and reinforce the role of strategic communication in nation-building.
Speaking at the unveiling its PRFest programme recently, Samuel Ayetutu, Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of NIPR described PRFest as one of the chapter’s most significant professional initiatives aimed at bringing together communication professionals, business leaders, policymakers, academics, students and other stakeholders to engage on issues of national importance.
He said the PRFest 2026 is scheduled early July, 2026 under the theme: “Security, Nation Building and Public Trust: Fostering Collective Responsibility through Strategic Public Relations.”
According to him, the 2026 edition is particularly significant as it focuses on the critical intersection of security, nation-building and public trust at a time when strategic communication has become indispensable to national development and social cohesion.
Ayetutu urged members of the Institute and communication professionals across the country to actively participate in the festival, noting that PRFest provides an invaluable platform for learning, networking, mentorship, industry collaboration and professional growth.
“Public relations practitioners have a crucial role to play in fostering trust, promoting responsible communication and strengthening the relationship between institutions and the public. PRFest 2026 will provide a unique opportunity for stakeholders to collectively examine these responsibilities and contribute to national development,” he stated.
