Gozie Anyacheblu Polytechnic (GOZPOLY), Onitsha, Anambra State, has concluded arrangements to host its practical tech skill exhibition and scholarship awards aimed at promoting innovation, creativity and academic excellence among young people.
Helen Abone, Rector of the institution said in Onitsha on Wednesday that the event would take place at the institution’s campus located within the All Saints’ Cathedral Compound, Onitsha.
According to her, participating secondary schools are expected to send their top 20 graduating students to take part in the programme.
She explained that the exhibition is designed to provide students with an opportunity to showcase their talents, practical skills and innovative ideas in a competitive but educational environment.
A major highlight of the event will be an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Competition, where participants are expected to employ AI tools to create innovative and high-quality graphic designs.
“We want to use the competition to expose students to emerging technologies and encourage them to develop relevant digital skills for the modern world,” Abone said.
She further disclosed that outstanding participants will have the opportunity to win scholarships to support their tertiary education.
The programme is said to attract students from different schools, individuals and roadside technology enthusiasts from all parts of the state, making it a celebration of creativity.
