Osimhen has been one of the standout performers in Turkish football since joining Galatasaray. Across the Turkish Super Lig, UEFA Champions League and Europa League over the past two seasons, he has reportedly registered 54 goals and 13 assists in 69 appearances.

The 27-year-old Nigerian striker has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and came close to joining Chelsea before negotiations eventually collapsed.

According to the report, United’s pursuit could also depend on the future of Marcus Rashford. Rashford has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, although uncertainty surrounding his future remains.

The report stated: “Osimhen is viewed as the dream target for United manager Michael Carrick, who is keen on bringing in the pacey striker who has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a number of years.”

The Nigerian forward enjoyed another productive campaign with Galatasaray, scoring 15 league goals and adding seven more in the UEFA Champions League, further enhancing his reputation as one of Europe’s elite strikers.

With United determined to bolster their frontline, Osimhen’s situation is expected to remain one of the most closely watched transfer stories of the summer.
