Wema Bank has strengthened its commitment to women’s economic empowerment through its partnership with SheCan Nigeria for the 2026 SheCan Do More Conference, aimed at expanding access to finance, mentorship, business support and growth opportunities for women entrepreneurs and professionals.

The conference, scheduled for June 19, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, will bring together women business owners, professionals and emerging leaders as part of efforts to promote entrepreneurship, career advancement and financial inclusion.

The partnership is anchored on Wema Bank’s women-focused proposition, SARA by Wema, which provides tailored financial solutions and support services designed to help women grow their businesses and improve access to economic opportunities.

According to the bank, the initiative reflects its broader strategy of supporting women beyond traditional banking services by providing access to knowledge, strategic networks, mentorship and tools required for sustainable business development.

As part of activities at the conference, Wema Bank will offer rewards and incentives to attendees who open and fund Wema or SARA accounts, including debit card issuance, cash rewards, self-care packages and other benefits.

Participants who join the SARA Community will also have access to health screening services, while entrepreneurs signing up for SARA Business Loan will benefit from discounted interest rates and a complimentary health plan.

The bank said the partnership aligns with its goal of creating solutions that enable women to scale businesses, build financial resilience and contribute more significantly to Nigeria’s economic development.
