As part of preparations ahead of Adamawa state local government election tomorrow, the Adamawa State Independent Electorial Commission (ADSIEC) has distributed sensitive and non-sensitive materials to all the 21 local government areas for the election.

Emmanuel Abba, commissioner in charge of logistics and field operations, supervised the distribution of the materials to the various LGAs in the presence of security officials and journalists.

In an interview with newsmen shortly after the distribution, Abba said the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) has concluded all necessary arrangements for a peaceful election throughout the state.

He further stated that all the materials both sensitive and non-sensitive materials are already on the way to all the 21 local government areas and that by tomorrow the materials would be at all the polling units.

“We had meeting with all the security agencies in the state and they have all given us security assurances of adequate protection for our men, the electorates and the election materials just like you can see today.

“Where we perceived there are security concerns, we will adhere to security advice but we can authoritatively tell you we are ready for the election on Saturday,” he said.
