The Nigeria Digital Public Relations Summit has constituted of a six-member Advisory Board comprising respected professionals from Public Relations, Strategic Communications, Media, and Digital Innovation.
The establishment of the Advisory Board, according to a statement, marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the Summit, now in its 11th year.
Organisers of the Summit, in the statement, explained that the Board members will provide independent counsel, industry insight, and strategic support to strengthen the Summit’s relevance, reach, and impact.
“They will also champion strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, industry advocacy, and professional development initiatives that advance digital public relations practice in Nigeria and across Africa,” the organisers added.
Members of the Advisory Board are Yomi Badejo Okusanya, Lead Partner, CMC Connect LLP and former President of the African Public Relations Association; Emeka Oparah, Vice President, Corporate Communications, Airtel Africa; Yushau A. Shuaib, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Image Merchants Promotion Limited, publishers of PRNigeria and Economic Confidential; Tolulope Olorundero, Founder and Principal Consultant, MosronCommunications and Founder of Nigerian Women in Public Relations; Omawumi Ogbe, Chief Executive Officer, GLG Communications and Founder of the PR Power List; and . Celestine Achi, Chief Executive Officer, Cihan Media Group.
Speaking on behalf of the Advisory Board, Chairman Yomi Badejo Okusanya, according to the statement, said the Summit had earned its place as a serious platform for the profession.
“The Nigeria Digital PR Summit has built a credible platform for advancing conversations around digital public relations, reputation management, and strategic communications in Africa. As an Advisory Board, we are committed to supporting its continued growth and to helping shape a profession that is equipped to lead in an increasingly complex communications environment.
“The future belongs to practitioners who can think critically, adapt continuously, and collaborate across boundaries. The Summit has a role to play in producing that generation of communicators,” he stated.
The Convener, Segun McMedal, described the appointments as a defining step in the Summit’s growth. He noted that the establishment of the Advisory Board is an important landmark in the evolution of the Nigeria Digital PR Summit.
“The calibre, experience, and influence of these professionals will add tremendous value as we deepen stakeholder engagement, strengthen strategic partnerships, and expand the Summit’s contribution to the advancement of digital public relations practice in Nigeria and across Africa. We are honoured to have them serve,” he added.
The 11th Nigeria Digital PR Summit is scheduled for October 15 and 16, 2026, in Lagos under the theme “The Rise of Digital Influence: Culture, Creators and the New PR Playbook.
