A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, Iliya Godiya Wakil, on Friday advocated for policies that promote workers’ welfare, protect their rights, and create sustainable opportunities for decent employment.
Wakil, who is one of the party aspirants for Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa-Balewa federal constituency, said this during the celebration of worker’s Day.
He emphasised that every worker deserves dignity, fair compensation, and a conducive environment to thrive.
“Your dedication, resilience, and commitment remain the backbone of our economy and the foundation of our collective progress.
“Your daily sacrifices, whether seen or unseen, form the backbone of our development. From the civil service to the private sector, from artisans to professionals, your contributions remain invaluable and deeply respected,” he said.
He further urged them to remain steadfast, hopeful, and committed to excellence in their various responsibilities. Together, through unity, diligence, and shared purpose in other to build a stronger, more prosperous of Bauchi State.
Wakil reaffirmed his support for policies and initiatives that will improve workers’ welfare, create opportunities, and promote a more productive working environment.
