Victor Osimhen marked a dream return from injury with a superb goal as Galatasaray cruised to a 3-0 victory over fierce rivals Fenerbahçe in a crucial Istanbul derby on Sunday.
Back in action after a 35-day injury layoff due to a forearm fracture, the Nigerian striker wasted little time making his presence felt, opening the scoring in the 40th minute to cap a dominant first-half display from the league leaders.

In a symbolic celebration, Osimhen pointed to the cast on his arm before gesturing toward the opposition, underlining his swift return to form. The goal also took his tally to 20 in 31 appearances for Galatasaray this season.
Fenerbahce had an early opportunity to take control of the contest, but Anderson Talisca missed a penalty in the 13th minute, a moment that proved costly.

Galatasaray tightened their grip on the game after the break, particularly when Fenerbahce were reduced to 10 men following Ederson’s dismissal in the 62nd minute.
The emphatic victory keeps Galatasaray firmly at the top of the Turkish Super Lig standings with 64 points, seven clear of Fenerbahce as the title race approaches its decisive stage.
