Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir’s Senior Special Assistant on Political matters, Ishaya Dangana, on Thursday resigned from office to contest an elective position in the 2027 election.

In his letter of resignation, Dangana said: “I write formally to tender my resignation from my post as the senior special assistant on Political Affairs to the executive governor of Bauchi State with immediate effect from 22 of April, 2026 to enable me contest in the forthcoming election as required by the Electoral Act 2026.

Dangana expressed his appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for giving him the opportunity to serve in his government.

According to him, “I remain grateful for the opportunity to be associated with best progressive-minded governor of our time.”

The former senior special assistant thanked the governor immensely and also prayed for the successful completion of his tenure in office.
