The saying that quality is better than quantity cannot be taken for granted when you consider what it takes to make replacement or repair bad item, particularly household equipments.

Though, there may be a few cases where cheap products have proved beyond its worth over a more expensive product. But this cannot counter how cheap products gets easily worn out quickly and demands a replacement. I am a cheapskate, and after I opt for a product due to its cheap price, I regret it most times because I end up buying same item over again.  And when I look back I discover I have spent carelessly. It is like retaking an exam.

Another error is that, one cannot derive the maximum satisfaction or benefit of that product, hence I have decided on list of items that I would prioritize quality irrespective of the price so long as it’s something I can afford without breaking the bank.

The usage and how long it should last is another thing that can influence what quality one can opt for, so, why not make that purchase that would last for a long period, and save up your money for another thing.

Sometimes the discrepancy between a tat product and a quality is minimal. Quality also has grades, so choose a grade that suits your pocket so long as there is quality in that item.

Home appliances

If you cannot afford it, then leave it instead of buying home appliances that would consume your money all in the name of maintenance. Imagine your television tripping off, interrupting your favourite show. Worst still it can blow up your electrical connections meaning more and more bills. When it comes to items such as refrigerators, air conditioners, micro-waves, irons, fans and other appliances always go for a choice that speaks quality.

Food and medications

You may refute with this one, but it should be inclusive unless you do not prioritize your health. Cheap food may seem sweeter to the taste bud but not nourishing and healthy. In my opinion the most expensive meal you can give yourself is food prepared by you, from the buying of ingredients to your labour should be super quality. Quality medication demands that you buy and use according to prescriptions not mincing your money

Wears

unless is something you intends discarding once you use it for the purpose in which you are buying it  or the nature of  job you are using it for. For instance there is no need to pay more on an apron or a ‘bathroom slipper’, but when it boils to office wears, occasion wears, foot wears, bags, accessories, under wears and others; go for quality; you do not want to be caught wearing something that would be condemned on just one wear.

Professional and vocational services

When in need of services such as carpentry work, mechanic job or a laundry services, it is advisable that the best option is quality. I  am sure you do not want to be repairing that roof top a million time, so avoid this by patronizing  the right services that offers quality due to their  high cost which would benefit you in a long term.

They are many other items that one needs to use quality as a yardstick for purchase and others that may not. I do not see reasons why a lady should use her diamonds to purchase a makeup kit when it is not permanent or a man spending all he got to get a haircut; it is not as if the hair would never grow again; not that personal grooming is bad but wisdom needs to be applied. If you are a student, when buying books or stationeries, go for cheaper prices, so long as you can see what is imprinted on it and write, it is something you would stop using pretty soon. All you need to do is take care of it to avoid it from tear.

It is purpose, usage and the expectant time of duration that should influence how much we ought to pay for a product. Quality means more durable and savings.
