Access to finance remains a key issue for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria. Many businesses continue to operate with limited capital, irregular cash flow, and little access to structured financial support. This has placed pressure on financial institutions to adjust their models to reflect the realities of daily business operations.
Entourage Integrated Trust Ltd is responding by extending its presence across the country. Earlier this year, the institution began operations in Borno, Nasarawa, Taraba, and Kebbi States. This expansion brings its total coverage to 31 states.
The move is aimed at reaching areas where access to financial services is still limited. Rather than focusing only on major commercial centres, the institution is placing its operations within local markets and communities. This allows it to engage directly with traders, small business owners, and professionals.
According to Seyi Asagun, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, the strategy is centred on access. “Our priority has always been ensuring that businesses, wherever they are, can reach us and get the support they need.”
The institution operates a hybrid system that combines field teams, branch networks, and structured lending processes. This model is designed to serve businesses with varying income patterns, including those in informal sectors.
Entourage Integrated Trust now supports more than 300,000 individuals and business owners across Nigeria. This figure reflects both increased demand for financial services and growing trust among its customers.
Philip Nkafuonye, Deputy Managing Director, said the focus is on consistency across all locations. “It’s not just about being in more states — it’s about delivering the same level of support everywhere we operate.”
Financial inclusion continues to play a role in Nigeria’s economic development. For many SMEs, access to funding can determine whether a business survives or expands.
Entourage’s expansion to 31 states shows a continued effort to bring financial services closer to underserved communities. By operating within local environments, the institution is working to reduce the gap between businesses and the support they need.
