DHL Global Forwarding has launched its 1,029sqm bonded warehouse in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

DHL is known worldwide as a trend setter in the logistics industry and the leader in bringing about innovative and customer-centric solutions to its customers.

Port Harcourt is the nerve centre of the oil & gas business in Nigeria. All the International oil and gas companies that operate in Nigeria have their operational bases in the city. The facility will house customs personnel, thereby reducing the time-frame for the oil and gas sensitive shipments. With its team of oil and gas experts, DHL Global Forwarding is fully able and committed to ease the clearing process for its customers.

Maureen Adibuah, branch manager, Port Harcourt said: “With Sub-Saharan Africa continuing to emerge as a growth market, and Nigeria playing a major role in this, DHL is committed to concentrate on organic growth by investing in the continent. The launch of the X-dock facility in Port Harcourt will see an accelerated custom clearance of our customer’s shipments, a reduction in our customer’s operating expenses, weekly transfer of shipments from handling companies (SAHCOL & NAHCO) with 24/7 security updates. We are here to serve our customers and this will guarantee ease of transaction in an otherwise tough business environment.”
