The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed all candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to begin printing their examination notification slips ahead of the commencement of the exercise on April 16.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s spokesperson, said the notification slip contains vital details such as candidates’ examination dates, venues, and time, which are necessary for the smooth conduct of the examination.

He urged candidates to promptly print their slips from the board’s official website to avoid last-minute challenges, noting that the UTME would be conducted over several days across the country.

“Candidates are strongly advised to print their examination slips in order to confirm their examination date, venue, and time, as the exercise will be conducted over several days,” Benjamin said.

He explained that each candidate has been assigned a specific schedule, stressing the importance of arriving early at designated centres to allow for proper screening and accreditation before the examination begins.

To access the slip, candidates are required to visit the JAMB portal and click on the 2026 UTME Slip Printing option, where they can retrieve and print their details.

Benjamin also disclosed that enhanced security measures have been introduced for this year’s examination to curb malpractice and ensure the integrity of the process.

“Candidates and centre owners are therefore warned to desist from any form of misconduct, as strict sanctions will be applied,” he added.

JAMB had also announced the delisting of 20 CBT centres over technical issues that affected the mock examination in some parts of the country, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining high standards in the conduct of its examinations.
