Abiola Adelana, Head of Tourism and Creative Business at Sterling Bank Plc, has received a Fellowship Award for Distinguished Professional Contributions to Public Administration.

The conferment, approved by the Governing Council of the Institute of Corporate Administration, was presented at the Institute’s “2026 Kick-off/Strategy Conference” held at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce Conference and Exhibition Centre, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State.

The award certificate and executive wall plaque were presented during the event, which brought together professionals and stakeholders from across sectors.

In a letter confirming the honour, the Institute stated that the recognition was based on her “dedication and commitment beyond the call to duty, professionalism in service and visionary approach to administrative matters.”

It added that the conferment qualifies her as a senior member of the Institute and entitles her to append the designation “FCAI” after her name.

The conference was held on the theme “Developing Organizational Resilience for Managing in Uncertain Times,” with discussions centred on how institutions respond to shifting conditions and sustain performance.

Her role includes the development and management of a tourism-focused business division within the bank, designed to support cultural activity and economic participation.

Through this work, she has contributed to efforts aimed at integrating financial services with sectors that rely on content creation, travel, and cultural exchange.

In a separate corporate feature, Adelana was described as shaping the intersection of finance, tourism and the creative economy. The feature highlighted her role in establishing structures within the banking system that support tourism and creative enterprises.

The Institute congratulated her on the recognition and expressed hope for “many more years of fruitful service to humanity.”

The conferment places her among professionals recognised by the Institute for their contributions to public administration and service.
