Victor Osimhen has received praise from Galatasaray fans for his commitment to the club following a recent surgical procedure.
The Nigerian striker sustained an arm injury during Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool at Anfield and underwent successful surgery last week.
In a move that has impressed supporters, Osimhen reportedly chose to remain at the club’s sponsor hospital rather than return home after being discharged just 24 hours post-operation.

He has stayed in Istanbul under strict medical supervision, aiming to accelerate his recovery ahead of the crucial Intercontinental Derby against Fenerbahçe on April 26.
By remaining at the facility, Osimhen is receiving round-the-clock physiotherapy and immediate medical care, effectively turning his rehabilitation into a specialised “mini-camp.”
Reports in Turkey indicate that his decision has sent a strong message within the squad, particularly as the Süper Lig title race intensifies. The 27-year-old’s determination to avoid distractions and focus solely on recovery has been viewed as a show of leadership.
“Victor knows how much the fans and the team rely on him,” a source close to the club said. “His focus is entirely on the trophy. He didn’t want to lose even a single day to travel or home distractions.”
Osimhen is expected to begin light individual training sessions later this week, with medical staff reportedly preparing a customised protective carbon-fibre brace to facilitate an earlier return to full team training.
