Olatunji Disu, Inspector-General of Police,  has ordered the posting of senior officers to key strategic positions across the country in a move aimed at strengthening operational efficiency within the Nigeria Police Force.
The redeployment, announced on Tuesday, forms part of ongoing reforms to enhance leadership capacity, reinforce the Force’s command structure, and ensure effective policing nationwide.
According to the postings, several Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) have been assigned to critical departments at the Force Headquarters in Abuja and zonal commands across the country.
Among them,  Ado Emmanuel was deployed to the Department of Research and Planning, while  Joseph Eribo was posted to the Department of Armament. AIG Miller Dantawaye will now oversee the Department of Operations, and  Henry Ifeanyi Uche takes charge of Training and Development.
Similarly, Olanrewaju Ogunlowo has been assigned to Police Accounts and Budget, while  Dahiru Mohammed has been deployed to Zone 15 in Maiduguri.
Other zonal postings include  Dankombo  Morris to Zone 4, Makurdi;  Bello Shehu to Zone 14, Katsina; and AIG Olohundare  Jimoh to Zone 2, Lagos.
Further deployments saw  Ibrahim  Maikaba posted to the Department of Legal Services,  Ahmed Musa to Community Policing, and  Simeon Akpanudom to the FCID Annex in Lagos.  Haruna Olufemi was assigned to the Special Protection Unit at the Force Headquarters.
The police hierarchy also approved the redeployment of Commissioners of Police (CPs) to state commands and specialised units.  Haruna Alaba Yahaya has been posted to Jigawa State Command, while  Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola takes over in Oyo State.  Yemi John Oyeniyi will head the Delta State Command, and  Olubode Ojajuni has been assigned to Ogun State.
Other key state command postings include  Michael Adegoroye Falade to Ekiti,  Yakubu Useni Dankaro to Adamawa,  Morkwap S. Dongshal to Taraba,  Ahmed Mohammed Bello to Zamfara,  Umar Ali Fagge to Katsina, and  Hayatu Shaffa Hassan to Sokoto State.
The Federal Capital Territory Command will now be headed by  Muhammed Sanusi Ahmed, while  Olatunji Olaiwola Fatai takes charge of Lagos State Command.
At the Force Headquarters and specialised formations,  Betty  Otimenyin was posted to Welfare, while  Aina Adesola moved to the Training Department. Akan Ezima was appointed Director of the NPF National Cybercrime Centre (NCCC), and  Ajo Geoffrey Ordue was deployed to INTERPOL, Abuja.
Other postings include Moses Ashu Otta to SWAT in Abuja,  Abbas Sule to the Special Protection Unit, and  Danjuma I. Yahaya to General Investigation at the FCID Annex in Kaduna.  Sheik M. Danko was posted to the FCID Annex in Lagos.
Additional assignments saw  Abdulrahim A. Shuaibu deployed to the Eastern Ports Authority,  Sarah Ehindero to Administration at FCID Abuja, and  Edwin Ogbegbghagha as Provost at Force Headquarters.  Preye  Egbe was posted to INEC in Abuja, while  Adebisi Bola Lateef takes over Master Printing in Lagos.
In further reshuffles,  Bolou Etete was deployed to Community Policing under Research and Planning, Ojugbele  Adebola to FCID Alagbon in Lagos, and  Fidelis N. Ogarabe to INTERPOL Annex in Lagos.
The postings also covered training and operational units, with Theodore  Obasi appointed Deputy Commandant of the Police College, Ikeja;  Eloho E Okpoziakpo assigned to the Special Fraud Unit in Ikoyi; and  Kayode Uthman Magaji deployed to the K9 Unit in Dei-Dei, Abuja.
Others include  Markus Ishaku Basiran to Courses at POLAC, Mohammed Babakura to Administration in the Department of Operations,  Silas Bamidele Aremu to Safer Highway operations, and  Magaji Ismaila to Community Safety and Crime Prevention.  Rebecca Uchenna Okereke was appointed Director of Music at the Force Headquarters.
The Inspector-General charged all affected officers to bring their experience to bear in their new roles, urging them to uphold professionalism, discipline, and dedication to duty.
