Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has reportedly been the victim of a violent burglary at his residence in England, with attackers making away with items worth an estimated £500,000.

The Fulham playmaker was said to have been held at knifepoint after burglars broke into his home and came face-to-face with him.

According to reports, the assailants entered the property unnoticed before confronting the Nigerian international and taking him hostage during the incident.

The gang allegedly ransacked the house, stealing designer wristwatches, jewellery, two iPhones, a MacBook laptop, and approximately £200,000 in cash.

Sources estimate the total value of the stolen items at around £500,000.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, while early reports indicate that neither Iwobi nor any of his family members were physically harmed.

The 27-year-old Nigerian star has been a key figure for Fulham this season, making 25 appearances and contributing four goals and three assists as the Cottagers push for European qualification for next season.
