Authorities in Adamawa State have launched an investigation following the discovery of a lifeless body in Girei Local Government Area.
The incident, reported on Monday, involved a 46-year-old man identified as Ahmed Mohammed, a resident of Anguwan Hona.
According to the Adamawa State Police Command, the deceased was found hanging from a tree at the foothills of Bagale Mountain under circumstances that remain unclear.
Police Authorities stated that the body was evacuated to Cottage Hospital, where a medical doctor confirmed him dead.
The case has, however, been classified as a sudden and unnatural death with investigators working to determine the events leading up to the incident.
The Police Command has also appealed to members of the public to provide any useful information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.
