Dapper Live, the live events division of Dapper Group, has been confirmed by Guinness World Records for hosting the largest orchestra at an Afrobeats concert. Over 80 orchestra members performed live alongside the artists, which took place on December 16, 2025 at Balmoral Eko Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

Dapper Live, led by CEO Damilola “Dapper” Akinwunmi, with musical direction by Bazzman Sam, conductors Fatola and Clintonic, and coordination by Kelechi “Chopper” Aquari. Performances included T.I Blaze, TML Vibez, Bhadboi OML, Rybeena, Lasmid, Cazulee, Kashcoming, DWillsHarmony, and guest appearances from Fuji artists King Dr. Saheed Osupa and KS1 Malaika.

Dapper’s strategy at Dapper Music and Entertainment emphasises that signing artists requires a shared creative vision and strong business acumen to ensure long-term success. While the label is often associated with street music, it represents a diverse range of genres, including soulful high-life artists like Ghana’s Lasmid, who performed at the concert.

The foundation for this record-breaking event was Dapper Music’s innovative “Trench Symphony” concept. This initiative aims to showcase the versatility of Afrobeats by pairing street-vibe music with an orchestral sound. This particular concert, which took place in December, was part of a strategic effort to challenge the industry norm of restricting live performances to the traditional “December season,” promoting year-round experiences for fans.

Ultimately, Dapper Music focuses on nurturing young talent and building sustainable careers in the Nigerian music industry, supported by transparent contracts that allow for independent audits.
