The federal government has suspended the mandatory $300 helicopter landing fee for oil companies operating in Nigeria. The decision was announced by Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, during a meeting with Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, and representatives from the oil and gas sector at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.

The petroleum delegation included Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), alongside officials from International Oil Companies (IOCs), the Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS), and the Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG).
