Philips opens its first Africa brand shop in Lagos

Royal Philips (Personal Health Division), has unveiled its first brand shop in Lagos.

This is also the first brand shop in Africa and is part of plans to expand consumer touch points.

Chioma Nweke, General Manager, Personal Health West Africa, said that the brand shop would provide an exciting destination for consumers to interact with Philips’ products. She noted that Philips is committed to touching 3 billion lives by 2020 through innovative products that matter to people.

According to her, “We are excited to unveil the first Philips brand shop in Africa where we can showcase these innovations and Nigerians can have full access to appliances that would help them achieve healthier lifestyles.”

The Brand Shop, with its attractive design is located at Road 2, Ikota Shopping Complex, and Ajah Roundabout. It promises to be a one-stop location that boasts a wide array of original Philips products from the No.1 brand in Airfryer to mother and child care products and even home lighting.

On the heel of the Philips ‘Buy Original Campaign’, this will ensure that consumers can have peace of mind when purchasing original Philips appliances,which come with a 2-Year Warranty and seal of quality.

Also, to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness month, Kate Okeke, BDM Diagnostic X-ray, Health Care division further explained the importance of healthy eating to boost the immune system thereby keeping the risk of breast cancer as low as possible.

“Staying at a healthy weight, staying active throughout life, and eating a healthy diet may greatly reduce a person’s lifetime risk of developing breast cancer as overweight women have an increase risk after menopause,’’ she added.

Finally,  Ime Umoh, Managing Director, Philips Health Tech West Africa noted that Philips is committed to Nigeria and will be expanding more consumer touch points to ensure that many consumers get to experience the original promise of the brand.

Renowned Actress, Bimbo Akintola was also present at the ceremony to support the brand. Paul, a renowned chef who has worked with the Philips Arifryer for over 3years was on hand to demonstrate several delicious dishes with Philips kitchen appliances.
