The All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken an early lead in both the chairmanship and councillorship elections at Kabusa 001 polling unit in the ongoing Area Council polls.

Results announced at the polling unit showed that the APC secured a commanding margin in the chairmanship contest.

In the chairmanship race, the APC polled 114 votes, ahead of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which garnered 18 votes.

Other parties recorded significantly lower figures, with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) scoring two votes each. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) polled six votes, while the Social Democratic Party (SDP) secured four votes. The Action Democratic Party (ADP) recorded one vote.

Similarly, in the councillorship election at the same polling unit, the APC maintained its dominance with 109 votes.

The ADC followed with 32 votes, while APGA secured two votes. The PDP also polled two votes, the SDP recorded one vote, and the NNPP secured one vote. Another party, listed as A, recorded two votes.

The results from Kabusa 001 reflect a strong showing for the APC at the polling unit, as collation continues across other centres in the area.
