Manchester United interim manager Michael Carrick extended his perfect start as Benjamin Šeško’s stoppage-time strike sealed a 3–2 Premier League win over Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday.
United took the lead through Casemiro’s first-half header and looked in control when Matheus Cunha doubled the advantage shortly after the interval.

But an extraordinary finale turned the contest on its head. Raúl Jiménez converted a penalty with five minutes remaining to give Fulham hope before Kevin’s stunning strike hauled the visitors level deep into stoppage time.
To United’s immense credit, they responded immediately as the much-maligned Šeško struck back to secure Carrick’s third successive victory, scoring his fourth goal in as many games.
After masterminding surprise wins over Manchester City and league leaders Arsenal, this dramatic encounter further fuelled the sense that the former United midfielder may have the Midas touch.
Unbeaten in their last seven league matches, United climbed to fourth place as their push for Champions League qualification gathered momentum.
A return to Europe’s elite would mark a significant achievement for Carrick, who was sacked by Championship side Middlesbrough last year.
United had managed three consecutive league wins only once during Ruben Amorim’s turbulent 14-month reign, a run Carrick has already matched within weeks of taking charge until the end of the season.
United’s hierarchy may now be forced to consider Carrick for the permanent role if his impressive form continues.
