The Katsina State Police Command has deployed additional personnel and resources across the state to ensure a safe and secure environment for all residents during the yuletide period.
Abubakar Sadiq, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, stated this in a statement on Tuesday made available to journalists in Katsina.

He noted that the proactive measure is aimed at preventing and curbing criminal activities and other vices that often peak during this period. He added that the Command is also intensifying patrols and surveillance across the state.
According to the statement, “The Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, Bello Shehu, urges members of the public to be vigilant and take responsibility for their personal security, being mindful of their belongings and surroundings, especially in crowded areas.
“Also, members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest police station or call the Command’s emergency lines: 081 569 777 77, 070 727 225 39, 090 222 096 90.
“The Command also appeals to motorists to avoid speeding and obey all traffic rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure smooth traffic flow during this period.
“The CP, while wishing all Christian faithfuls a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, assures them of the Command’s commitment to maintaining peace and security during this period”, the statement read.
