Zinox Technologies, Nigeria’s pioneer indigenous ICT solutions company, in strategic partnership with KongaCares, has unveiled a digital inclusion programme aimed at empowering one million Nigerians with computers, internet connectivity, and power solutions, all on an interest-free basis.
The initiative, tagged Computerize Nigeria Flexipay, will be officially launched on Thursday, September 4, at the GITEX Nigeria event. It is positioned as a transformative step in bridging the nation’s digital divide while supporting government’s vision of producing world-class human capital from Nigerian higher institutions.
Unlike traditional schemes that focus only on hardware supply, the Zinox–KongaCares partnership introduces a holistic ecosystem. Beneficiaries will not only receive computers but also gain access to iPower inverter systems tailored to Nigeria’s unique electricity challenges, as well as reliable satellite internet connectivity powered by Starlink.
“Technology cannot thrive in isolation. By combining devices, power, and internet, we are delivering a complete digital ecosystem that works in Nigeria’s operational environment,” Zinox explained in a statement.
Recognising that the cost of ICT infrastructure remains prohibitive for many schools and students, the Computerize Nigeria Flexipay scheme introduces remarkably flexible payment structures. The interest-free arrangement ensures affordability while prioritising social impact over profit.
This model is backed by quarterly donor reports, allowing contributors such as government agencies, alumni associations, NGOs, and philanthropists to monitor how their support is directly transforming classrooms and communities.
“This initiative is not just about selling computers. It is about democratizing access to premium digital resources and ensuring that no student is left behind because of geography or economic background,” KongaCares noted.
Zinox is extending an open invitation to stakeholders across Nigeria’s development ecosystem to collaborate. From government ministries and state agencies to politicians, private organisations, NGOs, and well-meaning Nigerians, the programme offers a platform to invest in the nation’s digital future.
Alumni associations are particularly encouraged to support their alma mater by equipping institutions with ICT tools that prepare students for the demands of a global digital marketplace.
The strategic timing of the launch reflects growing recognition of digital literacy as a cornerstone of economic growth. By targeting higher institutions, the initiative aims to equip graduates with competitive computing skills and reliable connectivity, positioning them to thrive in the knowledge economy and compete on international platforms.
“Students armed with modern ICT tools will be better prepared for the workplace of tomorrow. Our goal is to empower the next generation of Nigerian innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders with the tools they need to succeed,” Zinox emphasised.
