Shola Bello

Shola Bello has 15 years’ management experience in business development and operations, with comprehensive skills managing cross-functional business operations, project planning, and project execution. Her focus is on consulting and business management for SMEs. Bello displays qualities suited to great leadership. She intelligently exercises keen interpersonal skills while keeping an eye on the organisational bottom line.

Shola has a proven ability to motivate teams, as evinced by the John Maxwell Leadership and Management Award she received in December 2020. The award honored her brilliant leadership skills and tireless service to achieve organisational initiatives. She is also known for driving revenue growth through operational excellence and exceptional customer delivery.

In her capacity as Acting Managing Director at LandWey, Bello combines her attentiveness to customers’ needs with her passion for consulting. By supplying shelter, LandWey fulfills an essential human need. The organisation goes a step further to offer investment opportunities for its customers by producing quality homes that have a guaranteed high return on investment (ROI). Working in real estate is very rewarding, but there is no outcome as satisfying as seeing the value of customers’ investments appreciate over time, of which the pandemic has shown how resilient and secure the real estate industry can be.

Before joining LandWey, Bello was with Freedom Foundation. As Coordinating Manager, she represented Nigeria at the 28th Session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice held in Vienna. She presented the outcome of the Foundation’s rehabilitation program for victims of human trafficking. She is presently a Board Member of Freedom Foundation’s program, Genesis House.

Her experience spans diverse sectors and continents. In the U.S. and Nigeria, she has worked in real estate, non-profits, fashion, telecommunications, media, and automobile services. Besides, her experience across these sectors, her fundamental understanding of the impact of outstanding customer satisfaction is one of the key drivers of her professional achievements. One of which includes an award for 2002 Best Sales Performance, Female Apparel in Montgomery Mall, Maryland U.S.A while working at The Limited (now Belk)

From 2006 to 2007, Shola served as the V.P. of Projects for the Nigerian Business Forum (NBF), North America. The NBF was a non-partisan, non-profit membership organisation dedicated to the provision of an ideas exchange forum. Its ultimate goal was to contribute to the economic growth of Nigeria.

Shola studied Business Administration at Bowie State University in the U.S. and has completed certification courses in Strategy, Management, Finance, and Marketing from IBIM Institute, University of Maryland. Currently, she is pursuing an Executive MBA at the University of Cumbria.
