Bisola Fasade: Head, Affluent Clients (Private Bank), Stanbic IBTC, Nigeria

As Head, Affluent Clients, Bisola oversees private and executive banking businesses, develops and implements all aspects of private banking strategy with full P&L responsibility.

She also promotes sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation. Furthermore, Bisola liaises with executive management, legal and compliance, digital and eCommerce, engineering and other stakeholders to support sustainable business growth. She is responsible for a team of over 40 people with direct oversight for product development, sales, marketing, distribution and business operations.

As Team Lead, Wealth Manager, Wealth and Investment at Stanbic IBTC, she provided leadership and mentorship to other Wealth Managers to enhance team growth and individual potential. She equally performed supervisory duties with in-line budgetary restraints, profitability growth and forecast.

She deputised for the Head, Wealth and Investment, managing day to day operations and profitability of the team in the absence of head of unit and also leveraged on Stanbic IBTC / Standard Bank Group team of experts to implement customised solutions, tailored to the changing needs of each respective client, to help clients achieve their financial goals.

In same capacity, she developed and maintained a strong working knowledge of various financial markets, proprietary products, services and related marketplaces, including regulatory trends, customer demands, competitor strengths and industry developments.

Fasade executed needs-based analyses and situational assessments to develop, market and position financial products and services, generating increased revenue through improved close ratios with customer-focused and consultative relationship-based sales.

Still at Stanbic IBTC, as Coverage Head, Private Clients, Bisola was responsible for training of the team in sales management, negotiation and relationship management. She was accountable for revenue goals from assigned relationship managers in the most cost effective manner while remaining customer focused.

She also created and implemented sales strategies with a view to maximise revenue while maintaining high level of client satisfaction, she worked with advisory, fixed income, investment banking, project, corporate and structured finance to generate structured customer solutions and incremental risk assets.

Bisola effectively managed the Risk Management department to maintain acceptable KYC and credit quality of assigned relationships. She also ensured credit process initiation and negotiation, loan administration collateral management and recovery where necessary.

As Business Banking Development Executive at Citi Bank in the US, she was responsible for development and implementation of plans for strategic accounts acquisition of targeted business clients which involved managing relationships with key decision makers of corporations.

At the beginning of her career, as a licensed financial specialist at Wells Fargo, she performed financial analysis to determine clients current income, expenses, insurance coverage, tax status, financial objectives, risk tolerance and other information needed to develop a financial plan.
