Chinyere Alomna is the Director General/ Chief executive at LCCI. The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is committed to consistently promoting business environment and value delivery to its stakeholders.

Their mission is to promote and protect the interests of its members and the business community at large through public policy advocacy, creation and facilitation of commercial and industrial opportunity, provision of business development and services and observance of highest standard of business ethics.

The Chamber, as the representative organ of the business community, is a leading voice of the Organised Private Sector in Nigeria. It maintains regular consultations on policies and measures affecting business and the economy.

Chinyere is a renowned corporate governance and leadership development expert. An impactful business leader with strong client orientation and people management capability, contributing to economic growth and development. She has successfully created solutions and enabled positive impacts in challenging terrains, applying her academic research skills and expertise to address problems practically. She is often referred to as the coaches’ coach.

That isn’t all that there is to this woman of substance. She has also led the implementation of a multi-million dollars corporate governance advisory portfolio, to promote best practices and standards across Sub-Saharan Africa. As part of this initiative, she led the effort to create a regional network of CG practitioners to support CG advocacy across Africa.

Furthermore, she directed the effort to build capacity for over 360 SMEs on SME governance and Family Business Governance. She also led the adaptation of IFC SME CG framework and training materials for Africa, and conducted training for SME owners and business managers across Africa.

Chinyere led a large, multicultural team, which developed academic CG curricula for 4 business schools and supported 6 regulators across Africa to promulgate 4 regulatory policies and building CG supervisory capacity.

Also, she enabled clients to adopt acceptable CG practices, enabling access to finance of about US$42 million to allow private sector firms to grow and expand their operations. She built strategic relationships and engagement with stakeholders across 12 African countries, gaining support and buy-in for reforms.

In her spare time, she engages in youth development initiatives and has aided about 35 teenagers in the last 4 years. She is now involved in empowering women and personally promoted the Support-Our-Sisters (SOS) initiative to support women engaged in small scale businesses in Lagos.

Telling her stories has always been a pet pleasure, showcasing her creativity, she has written and produced 5 published books and also co-founding the Authors Write-It-Now Academy to enable aspiring authors to write and win.
