There are indications that the House of Representatives would adjourn today’s plenary to mourn the deceased Senator, representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Ignatius Longjan.
Longjan who died on Sunday in a Turkish Hospital, Abuja, was the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Culture and Tourism and a former Deputy Governor of Plateau State.
Consequently, both Chambers of the National Assembly, according to the prevailing tradition, are expected to adjourn today’s sitting in honour of their departed colleague.
