Nigerian Television Authority will be in a position to compete against international broadcasters, including the Cable News Network (CNN) if the supervising ministry goes through with a $500m loan required for NTA’s upgrade, Minister Lai Mohammed, has said.
The minister declared this Monday when he appeared before the Senate to defend the loan, which is needed to upgrade NTA’s equipment by June 17 this year, the deadline for a switchover from analogue to digital equipment.
