After eight years abroad, Mobile City targets Nigeria phone market

Nigerian owned Mobile City, a retail mobile phone provider is launching three outlets in Nigeria after many years of operating outside the country with plans to start producing the devices locally.

While opening its first shop at Amuwo Odofin, in the Mainland area of Lagos, Ejirika Stanley Afunwaelotanna popularly known as Afunwa, said the company will soon launch in two other locations in the commercial city.

According to him, Mobile City online  is creating a new narrative in terms of customer experience, quality of devices, and value for money.

“We strive to provide our customers not only with smartphones, but we also help create a lifestyle that can be recognised, acknowledged, and shared among the world community,” Afunwa said.

Mobile City has branches in several countries outside Nigeria including Hong Kong, Dubai, Texas, India, Zimbabwe, and other countries in Africa.

Mobile City’s ambition in the market goes beyond selling smartphones. It also has plans to start local manufacturing of smartphones in Nigeria.
