Arsenal‘s slim Premier League title hopes took another hit on Wednesday as they were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Mikel Arteta’s side struggled in attack, managing just one shot on target as their injury-hit forward line failed to find a breakthrough.

The result cuts Liverpool’s lead to 10 points, but the Reds can restore a 13-point advantage with a win over Newcastle.

Arsenal’s Attacking Woes Continue

The Gunners’ title push has been derailed by injuries to key players, including Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Kai Havertz.

With limited attacking options, midfielder Mikel Merino was again deployed as a makeshift striker, despite struggling in the shock 1-0 home defeat to West Ham at the weekend.

Arsenal’s best chance fell to Riccardo Calafiori, whose first-half strike hit the inside of the post.
Merino also came close early in the second half, forcing a save from Matz Sels with a header.

Forest Hold Firm to Stay in Champions League Race

While Arsenal failed to create clear-cut opportunities, they at least kept Forest’s attack quiet.
The hosts’ only real chance came 20 minutes from time when Chris Wood’s shot was saved by David Raya.

Despite their own struggles in front of goal, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side remain third, ahead of defending champions Manchester City.

With three defeats in their last four games, Arsenal’s title challenge is fading fast, while Forest’s Champions League push remains alive, as they aim for their first European Cup appearance since 1980.
