Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said that the residents of Lagos State will not regret voting to return his administration to office for another term of four years, as he will work even harder to fulfil all his electioneering promises.
Sanwo-Olu said his administration was committed to making life better for the people of the state through the provision of dividends of democracy and good governance.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, spoke at the post-inauguration Jummat Thanksgiving Service held on Friday at the Lagos Central Mosque, Lagos Island.
The thanksgiving service was part of the 11-day programme scheduled by the state government to mark the second term of Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The post-inauguration Jummat service was held simultaneously across the five divisions of Lagos in Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Epe.
Speaking at the Jummat Service in Lagos Central Mosque, Sanwo-Olu said the government was building a world-class hospital, Massey Children Hospital that will cater for the well-being of residents, among other ongoing infrastructural projects in the State.

He said the administration its second tenure in office will intensify focus on T.H.E.M.E.S plus agenda with a focus on social inclusion, gender equality, and youth.
Governor Sanwo-Olu appreciated Muslim clerics and the entire Lagosians for their support during the last general elections and assured them that they will not regret voting for the ruling party.
The governor also commended the religious tolerance and unity among the residents of the State, saying Lagos will continue to be peaceful.
Speaking, Sheikh Sulaimon Abu-Nolla, the grand chief imam of Lagos State, prayed for the prosperity of Nigeria and urged residents to join hands in supporting President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Prayers were also offered by different clerics for President Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu, and Hamzat.
At the Lagos State Community Central Mosque in Alausa, Ikeja, Sanwo-Olu, represented by Hakeem Odumosu, a former Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, praised Muslims for their support and steadfastness during the electioneering period.
The governor acknowledged God’s benevolence in his administration towards achieving a second term to run the affairs of Lagos State.
In his sermon, Muhammad Isa, the imam of the Lagos State Community Central Mosque, Alausa, urged the residents to support the government to fulfil their civic duties. He also advised the government to fulfil its campaign promises to the electorate.
The 11-day inauguration programme continues on Saturday, June 3, with a cultural display at the Agege Stadium.
The carnival involves a display of various cultural activities from the five divisions of Lagos to the delight of all the participants and guests.
The post-inauguration celebration will be rounded off with a church service to be held simultaneously across the five divisions in Lagos on Sunday.
