A large crowd of young opportunity seekers on Friday besieged the venue of the audition for the 2019 Big Brother Nigeria popularly known as BBNaija.
Residents around the area told BusinessDay that access roads around the venue has been blocked by thousands of auditionees seeking to enter the venue, D’Podium International Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos State.
“I have never seen youths this much come out since I started voting. If only they will come out to vote like this come February 16, 2019,” says Bhadmus Hakeem, founder of CashDigital who posted a video on Twitter. “This is #BBNaija audition crowd in Lagos by the way”.
Irieguna Benjamin attributed the rush to the prevailing poverty in the country.
“When you these massive crowd at auditions then we should know that the youths are looking for any viable means to escape the poverty that confronts them on the streets,” Benjamin said on Tweeted.
