Ike Nwachukwu, a former Foreign Affairs Minister and retired general, has said that the 2014 Constitutional Conference report provided solutions to critical problems facing the country presently.
Nwachukwu said that there was the need for the current administration to revisit the report of the 2014 cobstitution conference report and implement them to reposition the country, warning that it should not be set aside.
The elder statesman made the call on Tuesday while delivering his speech as chairman at the 4th Nigerian leadership colloquium in honour of Ituah Ighodalo’s 63rd birthday in Victoria Island.
He said it was critical that the country get the structure of the country right for stability.
According to him, “The 2014 National Conference did well and that was the reason all the delegates by consensus made the crucial recommendations to salvage Nigeria. I strongly recommend that we do not set them aside.
“Only by courageously facing the trust can Nigerians and Nigeria begin to heal from the mistakes and hurts of the past and commence the transformation to a better future.”
