In furtherance of the 31st March, 2019 announcement of the release of promotions by the Police Service Commission, the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu on Thursday 4th April, 2019 decorated the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba with his new rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
A statement issued on Thursday by the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Aremu Adeniran, noted that other officers decorated by the IGP included; ACP Igbafe Afegbai, 2iC Federal Inland Revenue Service {FIRS} and SP Atiku Ibrahim, Personal Assistant {P.A} to the IGP.
While decorating the three officers, the IGP congratulated them and the Eight Thousand Nine Hundred and Thirteen (8,913) other newly promoted Officers of the Force and charged them to see their elevation as a call to rededicate themselves to the service of the nation and to continue to recognize and uphold the fundamental rights of the citizens, the statement added.
