Gokada churns out innovative solutions to impact logistics industry in Lagos

Gokada an on-demand motorcycle delivery service available in Lagos, Nigeria, has launched fresh solutions in its commitment to ensuring deliveries are seamless in Nigeria’s industrial metropolis.

The in a statement to BusinessDay, the organization said the solutions made over the last few months could potentially revolutionize the logistics system in Lagos by offering global logistics solutions to facilitate smoother deliveries for individuals, businesses, merchants and ecommerces.

It said the Gokada app has been upgraded with new features to provide customers with as many options as possible when delivering items across Lagos.

Customers now have the option to pay by a virtual wallet when paying for your deliveries, according to them, adding that the option saves clients the hassle of looking for cash, as anytime riders come along, they could simply load up their preferred amount on the app.

“We have also added a pooling deliveries feature on our app. With pooling deliveries, you can share your rider with other customers whose deliveries are moving in the same direction as yours for a lesser price.

“The pooling deliveries feature saves you 30 percent of your original fare and you still get your parcels delivered on time. A win-win,” the organization said.

In addition to upgrading the appointment, another solution launched is Gshop, an on-demand food delivery platform that provides a selection, safe, and efficient quality food served by 200+ restaurants across Lagos State.

This food platform will ensure that meals are delivered on time despite traffic delays, and takes care of all the customers’ meals for the day thereby allowing Lagosians focus on other tasks.

Gokada says the food platform comes with seamless payment systems, and a fleet of over 1000 efficient, well-trained riders to ensure that meals are delivered safely.

The logistics company also said it has created physical locations, known as G-hubs, where customers can pick-up and drop off parcels and get them delivered anywhere in Lagos currently at a flat rate of N1000.

“We want to be closer to our customers and make deliveries faster and accessible,” the organization said on the hubs around Lagos.

The Gokada Hub was set up as a way to provide cheaper delivery services to businesses and individuals who are within the area and prefer same day delivery, Gokada noted.

The hubs are currently present in four locations (Ilupeju, Surulere, Oregun and Agidingbi) but the said it would be expanding to other parts of Lagos soon.

“Gokada business is another of our innovative solutions for deliveries connecting businesses with the logistics of the future. This platform was created to facilitate and optimise deliveries,” the management said.
