GAC Motor spreads within Nigerian auto sector

The past few months have seen growth of the GAC Motor brand within the Nigerian automobile industry. Barely two months after the Dangote Foundation donated 150 cars to the Nigerian Police Force, the Edo State government follows suit, donating 50 units of the GA3S vehicles to the Police.
GAC vehicles are the preferred brand for security forces in China, and are slowly expanding their footprint to other security parastatals around the globe. This choice by both Dangote and the Edo government attests to the quality and sturdiness of the GAC brand.

This is further recognition of GAC Motor’s growth across Nigeria, and affirmation of the quality and high safety standards of its vehicles.
Governor Godwin Obaseki, at the handing over during the launch of the Edo State Security Trust Fund, said the donation was a reaffirmation of the state government’s promise to fight insecurity in the state, using the vehicles as intended support for the Police in surveillance, crime prevention and promoting law and order.

The governor also said N2 billion had been set aside for the Security Trust Fund in the 2019 budget, and over 1,000 men were in training to drive this new security architecture. The governor therefore requested for the support of all to ensure the success of the initiatives.
“At GAC, we understand that the intelligence and professionalism of the man behind the uniform and the engineering excellence of the machine he drives unleash the ultimate law enforcement hardware. Therefore, we take extra care in making sure our cars meet world class standards,” Diana Chen, chairman of CIG Motors, the sole distributor of GAC Motors in Nigeria, said.
“We remain steadfast in our vision and commitment to providing the best driving experience for all,” she said.
