Secure D Future International Initiative (SDF), an Abuja-based non-governmental organisation, is holding its first annual international conference in Abuja between December 5 and 6, 2019. The Theme of the conference is ‘Break the silence of abuse, victimisation, and stigmatisation.’
According to a statement by Chide Omali, country director (Nigeria), Secure D Future International Initiative, the conference is designed to be packed full of activities. The plenary sessions will have both national and internationally certified speakers taking topics such as Dimensions of human trafficking with focus on reorientation, prevention, intervention and reintegration; Trauma resilience and survival strategies; Curbing the menace of drug abuse and related vices with focus on prevention, intervention and reintegration; Religious belief and mental health, among others.
Secure D Future International Initiative is an NGO and a leading mental health movement in Nigeria that has three cardinal approaches; Prevention, Intervention, and Re-integration.
