Church honours FRSC officers for excellent performance

Some members of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Lagos sector, have received awards of recognition at the Enthronement Assembly Church, Lagos, on Sunday, May 14, 2023, for their excellent and impeccable contribution to the metropolis.

Tagged ‘FRSC Appreciation Service,’ the church located in Ikeja hosted 45 men and women of the government agency, showing them the support and appreciation worthy of the tireless effort they put into ensuring the safety of the city’s motorists and other road users, as well as ensuring compliance with traffic and road-worthiness laws.

“Let’s appreciate those who make our country saner and safer,” said Deji Olabode, a reverend and the lead pastor of Enthronement Assembly, admonished congregants.

“We just came to the awareness that some of the people in our society who are getting the major work done are not getting the recognition that is needed for the kind of results that they generate,” said Olabode while speaking to the press after the service.

“So we decided to, once in a while, focus on different sectors of society, just to let them know that they are not alone. We do what we can within our purview to honour them materially and financially just to encourage them.”

The recipients of the awards were Tayo Ogundele, Omowande Ajayi, and Olabisi Sonusi, all three of who have a track record of diligence, dedication, and a penchant for excellence in service.

Babatunde Farinloye, Lagos sector corps commander, who was present at the occasion, appreciated the church for the recognition while also sensitising those present on the need to abide by traffic laws at all times.
