Centre-LSD Donates Over 10m Relief Materials To Kajuru IDP’s

Centre for Leadership and Strategy Development, (Centre- LSD), has donated relief materials worth over ten million naira to the victims of Kajuru crisis.

Centre – LSD in its humanitarian response to the IDP’s donated relief items ranging from matrasses, Sanitary pads, bags of detergent, toothbrushes, toothpaste.

Other materials donated are mosquitoes nets, Soaps, wrappers and Spounches.

While presentating the relief materials at the Kajuru IDP camp on Tuesday, the Programme Coordinator, Centre – LSD, Uche Arisuku said the NGO is working under a project with the mandate to ensure peaceful coexistence among the diverse groups in the affected communities and in Kaduna state at large.

The Project Coordinator who communicated to the direct victims through the help of an interpreter urged that the materials should be used accordingly.

According to him, the aim is to relieve the victims of their worries, just as he requested that the people should not forget the NGO in their daily prayers.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the presentation, the Chairman Adara community, Mumini Boka Madugu said there are seven internally Displaced Persons, (IDP’s) Camps within his jurisdiction, which according to him are: LGEA Maraban Kajuru, GDSS Kufana.

Other camps he mentioned include Idon, Makyali, Ibue, Maraban Kajuru (Collap) and Makurdi K/Magani camp.

He explained that the victims for the seven camps were drawn from Ungwar Barde, Karamai, Dogon Noma and Ungwar Gora communities who were affected by the series of attacks in the Local Government Area.

The Camp Coordinator, Alipiri Ado, while appreciating the efforts of the NGO expressed happiness with the gesture, saying that Centre – LSD will be remembered for coming to put smiles on the faces of Kajuru crisis victims.
