Belemaoil, four contractors, enter deal to build world-class children’s hospital in Daura

Belemaoil Producing Limited (BPL) has entered into a deal with four contracting firms and four companies to construct a world-class children’s hospital in Daura town, Kastina State, within one year.

The 100-bed hospital is designed to have wards that would have between three and seven patients, two surgery theatres, single rooms, laboratory, scanning room, maternity ward to cater for special pregnancies, etc. The hospital is to have three doctors quarters mortuary, power house, transformers, etc.

Belemaoil, indicated as the foremost indigenous company and first one to come from an oil community, says it now interprets indigeneship as the whole of Nigeria, thus ready to extend support to areas anywhere in the country.

The company signed the deal when a delegation from Daura and representatives of the four contracting firms visited the company in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Tuesday, 26, 2019. The Daura delegation was led by a retired military governor and retired police officer, Sani Daura.

The corporate affairs manager of Belemaoil, Sam Abel Jumbo, who anchored the signing ceremony, said Belemaoil has seen the plan and that it is a great project.

The head of delegation from Daura, (Sani Daura), who said he was highly impressed with the Belemaoil headquarters layout, said the Daura emirate cherishes Belemaoil’s interest in their welfare.

He recalled that Belemaoil had earlier given water to Daura and some other northern cities and said they are very proud of Jack-Rich Tein Jr, the founder/president of Belemaoil.

He prayed for the oil company and prayed for the day to come that the hospital would be completed.

The vice president (Investments) of Belemaoil, Chuks Izuogu, said the company may be small but that they aspired to big dreams. He said the oil company had the entire Nigeria at its sites and that the company was passionate about the Daura health project. “We want others to do like this. If others can do same, things will ease up”.

The consultant to the project, Munsur Kurfi, said he was excited by the promptness shown by Belemaoil officials in the processes leading to the signing of the agreements. He said if the funding is prompt, it would lead to a successful execution of a standard hospital and the people would be happy.

Belemaoil officials assured of prompt release of funds but urged the contractors to ensure prompt delivery of job. The founder, when he later joined the event, told the contractors to remember that quality buildings last for decades and attract attention for years.

Daura community spokesmen described the proposed project as a gigantic one and promised to support the company with whatever is needed to make the project a reality.

Some of the companies are Niya Engineering Limited, Multi-Systems (Consultants), Eagle Scientific & Laboratory Limited, Baabb International Resources Limited, and Adfin Construction Limited.
