“Last year, my administration provided a building for the legion’s office. We will continue supporting them, ensuring their activities run smoothly and their lives improve. The emblem symbolizes our Armed Forces’ growth and our nation’s political evolution, deserving our appreciation.

“I appeal to everyone, especially the affluent, to assist the legionnaires in any way possible. It’s our collective duty to care for their welfare.

“The state government is committed to involving them in government jobs and poverty alleviation programs, easing their burdens.”

He also encouraged the Police Force to implement similar support for their retired personnel, adding that he contributed N1.5 million to the cause.
